  • Operation method of AC voltage withstand generator voltage withstand device

    With the development of the power system, the capacity of operating equipment is increasing, such as thermal power generation units, which have a single unit capacity of over 1000MW, and hydroelectric power generation units, which have a maximum single unit capacity of 800MW. If traditional testing equipment (i.e. frequency test transformers) is used for the AC power frequency withstand voltage test of these devices, due to the large capacity required for the test, the test transformers and voltage regulators are very bulky, and it is difficult to solve the problem of large capacity test power supply on site, making on-site testing extremely inconvenient. The power frequency resonance device has great advantages in terms of test power capacity, equipment weight, test waveform, and investment. This device is mainly designed and manufactured for the AC withstand voltage test of hydraulic generators with a single unit capacity of 250MW and below.


    How to tune the generator AC withstand voltage test device (power frequency induction):


    1. Close the main power supply, press the "boost" button, and generally boost the voltage to 30V, that is, boost it to the reactor to obtain several hundred volts of voltage


    2. Adjust the gap. Generally, the iron core is at the zero gap position before the test, and the resonance point can be found by increasing or decreasing the iron core gap.


    3.During the gap adjustment process, when the high voltage is at its maximum, the position of the iron core is at the resonance point, and the tuning is complete.


    4. The voltage can be increased, and when it reaches the test voltage value, an automatic voltage endurance timer will be triggered. When the set voltage endurance time is reached, the equipment will automatically reduce the voltage to zero.


    5. Disconnect the main power supply.


    6. During the experiment, relevant personnel should strengthen the monitoring of the tested equipment. Once abnormal phenomena occur, the voltage regulator should be quickly reduced and the power supply should be disconnected at the same time.
