1. Before using the petroleum flash point and ignition point tester, carefully read the instruction manual.

2. According to the test object, carefully read GB/T3536 "Determination of Flash Point and Ignition Point of Petroleum Products" to understand and familiarize yourself with the test methods, steps, and requirements outlined in the standard.

3. According to the requirements specified in the standard, the petroleum flash point and ignition point tester should be placed in a dark and sheltered place to observe the flash fire, and various testing instruments, materials, etc. should be prepared for the test.

4. Check the working status of the petroleum flash point and ignition point tester to ensure that it meets the working environment and conditions specified in the instructions.

5. Check the casing of this instrument, which must be in good grounding condition.

6. Open the packaging box and inspect the appearance and related accessories of the petroleum flash point and ignition point tester according to the complete set and technical documents. If there is no damage or missing, install the instrument according to the structural diagram.

7. Turn on the power switch, the indicator light will turn on, and then the test operation can be carried out.

8. Pour the sample into a Cleveland oil cup to the mark.

9. Place the oil cup on the electric furnace, adjust the height of the ignition device and thermometer, adjust the size of the flame, adjust the potentiometer according to the standard, that is, adjust the heating rate, and then proceed with the ignition test.

10. At 28 ℃ before the expected flash point, press the swipe button switch and swipe the ignition rod to ignite. If there is no flash point phenomenon, press the swipe button switch again after heating up by 2 ℃, and swipe the ignition rod in the opposite direction to ignite. The time required for the test flame to cross the test cup each time is about 1 second.

11. When a flash occurs at any point on the oil surface, record the temperature on the thermometer as the flash point.

12. After the experiment is completed, clean the area and cut off the power supply.
